COSTUME BALL

While living in London I went to the Southbank Center to buy tickets to a French Performance Art event. I could not find the ticket area and wandered into a rehearsal hall filled with people at a costume party wearing tall white wigs and powdered faces and sporting little animal props they carried or stepped inside then draped ropes over their shoulders. I bought the tickets and anticipated a wonderful Costume Ball but when we arrived for the French show, these performers were nowhere in sight. Another performance was taking place and even after years of research; I could never find out who those costumed performers were. I decided this year to go ahead and draw my own Costume Ball after my brief glimpse in London. After the detailed pencil drawing I colored and developed them using Photoshop.
